This is Whack Your Boss unblocked: Doodie.com's original 20-item office game runs above on Ruffle, served from whackyourboss.org itself, so it opens in an ordinary browser tab on a school Chromebook or a work laptop. It is free, with no download and no account, and the Panic button is real.
Whack Your Boss: a cubicle full of bad ideas
Whack Your Boss comes from Doodie.com, the cartoon site behind Whack Your Computer and Whack Your Ex. Its title card reads like a memo: "A Public Service: Finally, a place to manage your anger without harming a soul." Below that, the challenge has been corrected by hand. The printed "nineteen" is struck out in red and a scrawled 20 sits over it, so there are twenty items to find. The memo is signed The Management, and it suggests that anyone with serious angry thoughts take them to their overpaid Human Resource person.
Press the green Play button and you are in a pencil-sketch cubicle. The boss is tall and bald, scowling and scribbling on a sheaf of papers. The worker sits at an L-shaped desk with a phone, a mug, a pencil cup, a keyboard and monitor, a ruler, a black stapler and a briefcase. Around them are a coat on a hook, a golf club and ball by the door, a bin, an umbrella, filing drawers and cabinets on the wall.
Everything is done with the mouse. Click an object: if it is one of the twenty, the worker stands up and a short animation plays, messy and cartoonish, and the Score line under the logo ticks up. The room stays wrecked until you press the grey Cleaner button, which puts the boss back on his feet for the next attempt. Not every object you can see counts, so some clicks do nothing at all.
Controls & mechanics
| Action | Control | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Start | Green Play button on the title card | Goes straight to the office |
| Try an item | Click it in the office | If it is one of the 20, the animation plays and Score goes up |
| Reset the room | Cleaner (grey button at the bottom) | Needed after every whack before the next click counts |
| Boss key | Panic (bottom right) | Shows "10 ways to be more productive around the office"; the arrow returns |
| Keyboard | Not used | The whole game is mouse or touch |
How to find all twenty
- Always press Cleaner: After a whack the office stays a mess and new clicks are ignored. Cleaner resets the room; forget it and it looks as if nothing else works.
- Start with the obvious: The golf club leaning by the door and the stapler on the desk both count. Get a feel for how the game reacts before hunting for the hidden ones.
- Work the desk left to right: Most of the twenty are on or around the worker's desk. Go object by object, press Cleaner between tries, and watch the score.
- Look up and down: The cabinets on the wall, the drawers, the bin under the desk and the corner by the door are all part of the room. Scan the edges, not just the middle.
- Keep count on paper: The game shows the score, not which items you have used. A quick list saves you from clicking the same thing again and again.
- Panic really works: Panic replaces the whole screen with a dull office productivity list. A small arrow at the bottom of it leads back to the game.
Key features
- The original file: Doodie.com's Whack Your Boss, the 20-item version, played from its Flash file through Ruffle and served from this domain.
- Mouse or touch only: No keys to learn. Point, click, press Cleaner, repeat.
- A boss key: The Panic button hides the game behind a list of office productivity tips.
- The Classic cut too: The shorter seven-way version of Whack Your Boss has its own page.
- The rest of the Whack shelf: Whack Your Ex, Whack Your Computer, Whack the Cheater and Whack the Serial Killer run on the same player.
- Cartoon, not realistic: Pencil-line art and splashes of red; very violent in theory, very silly in practice. Not for young kids.
